Soldering / Wire Assembly Technician
Location: Orlando, FL
Department: Manufacturing
Reports To: Production Manager
Pay: $17 $20 (DOE)
Shift: 1st Shift Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM (or later as needed)

Position Summary
The Soldering/Wire Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling electronic devices with precision and efficiency. This role requires the ability to interpret mechanical drawings, follow detailed instructions, and perform high-quality soldering in compliance with industry and company standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (or demonstrated ability to perform duties)
Minimum of 1 year of experience in electronic assembly or soldering
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and written procedures
Knowledge of IPC-610 standards (or equivalent)
Understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols
Familiarity with medical device quality standards is a plus
Key Responsibilities
Perform SMT and through-hole soldering
Assemble electromechanical sub-assemblies
Fabricate cable and wire harness assemblies
Interpret mechanical drawings and follow work instructions
Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and records
Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and measurement instruments
Ensure high-quality workmanship and productivity standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues
Participate in cross-training and skill development

Strong soldering and assembly skills
Attention to detail and precision
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
Preferred Qualifications
Technical certification in electronics assembly (preferred)
Experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
IPC-J-STD or IPC-610 certification (preferred)
Work Environment
Fast-paced manufacturing environment
Focus on electronic device assembly and soldering
Emphasis on quality, documentation, and teamwork
Physical Requirements
Frequent use of hands and fingers for assembly work
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Occasional lifting up to 10 25 lbs.
Close vision and color vision required for detailed work
