Job Position: Clerk Cashier
Location: Orlando, FL 32803
Pay Rate: $22.29/hr.
Shift: Office Hours 1st Shift
The Clerk/Cashier performs administrative and clerical duties related to the collection, recording, and processing of payments from tenants, vendors, and the public. This role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, excellent customer service, and compliance with Client's policies and HUD regulations.
Receive and process rent payments, fees, and other revenues from tenants and clients.
Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of all cash, check, and money order transactions.
Balance daily cash receipts and prepare deposits in accordance with agency policy.
Respond to tenant inquiries regarding account balances, payments, and billing issues.
Maintain and update tenant payment records in housing software systems (e.g., Yardi).
Perform general clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining financial logs.
Assist in preparing reports and documentation for audits or internal reviews.
Ensure a professional and courteous front-desk presence for tenants and visitors.
Comply with confidentiality requirements and federal regulations (HUD guidelines).
Support administrative staff and other departments as needed.
High School Diploma or GED required, associate degree preferred.
Minimum 1 2 years of cashiering, accounting, or clerical experience.
Experience working in a government, nonprofit, or housing agency environment is a plus.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and housing software (e.g., Yardi).
Excellent communication, math, and customer service skills.
Ability to handle cash accurately and maintain confidentiality.
