Job Position: Eligibility Specialist

Location: Orlando, FL 32803

Pay Rate: $23.61/hr.

Shift: Office Hours 1st Shift

*Bachelor's Degree is REQUIRED.

Must have a minimum of 1 year of Case Management/Social Worker experience.

Description:

The ideal candidate for this position will act as a Case Manager for a government assistance program. This candidate will be performing administrative and clerical functions such as pre-applicant and current tenants screening, to establish eligibility for the government program.

Note: This is Not a Remote Position!
Responsibilities:

  • Data entry on the computer along with scheduling and managing interviews.

  • Handling renewals for current clients by screening them for continual eligibility and perform recertification conferences.

  • Place inquires for inspections and compares different rates accordingly.

  • Verifies financial documents including personal information along with, credit report and criminal background.

  • Compose notifications, contracts, and any legal document pertaining to the prospective tenant.

  • Update allowances when necessary

  • Keep track of transfers and of those who are on the waiting list.

  • Manages a variety of forms such as logs, reports, orientation letters, denial letters, changes reports, certificates/vouchers, and termination letters.

  • Provide customer service by answering incoming calls, notating any messages, and directing them to appointed personnel.

  • Cover the front desk and help visitors as they walk in as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of Case Management/Social Worker experience.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel (an assessment will be performed).

  • Able to type 40+ wpm.

  • Required to have a valid Florida Driver s License.

  • Be able to lift up to 10 lbs., carry, push and pull.

  • Bilingual-English and Spanish a plus.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Required the Covid-19 vaccine.
