Job Title: Ombudsman

We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Ombudsman to join our team. As an Ombudsman, you will serve as a neutral and independent party, investigating and resolving complaints, concerns, and disputes for employees, clients, or community members. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring transparency, fairness, and adherence to company policies, regulations, and laws. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality.
Investigation & Resolution: Investigate complaints or concerns raised by individuals, ensuring timely resolution through mediation, advocacy, or referral to appropriate channels.
Policy Review & Recommendations: Assess organizational policies and practices to ensure they align with ethical standards. Provide recommendations for improvement where necessary.
Confidentiality & Neutrality: Maintain strict confidentiality and impartiality in all matters while respecting the privacy of individuals involved in complaints.
Reporting & Documentation: Document complaints, investigations, and resolutions in a clear, concise manner. Provide regular reports to senior management, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Conflict Management: Work to resolve disputes, using communication and negotiation skills to mediate between parties, aiming for amicable and fair outcomes.
Advocacy & Education: Advise individuals on their rights and responsibilities, and provide information on policies, procedures, and available resources.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and teams to ensure that appropriate actions are taken in response to complaints or systemic issues.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Law, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in mediation, conflict resolution, customer service, or related fields.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to remain neutral and objective in all situations.
Certifications (preferred, not required):
Certification in mediation or conflict resolution is a plus.
Familiarity with legal regulations, including equal employment opportunity and workplace ethics.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
