Job Description: Flexographic Printing Press Operator

Position: Flexographic Printing Press Operator
Location: Orlando, FL.
Department: Machine Operator
Reports to: Floor Supervisor

Pay: $20.00 to $25.00 (DOE)

Shift: Third Shift from 7:00pm to 7:00am- 12 Hours per shift they work 4 days 1 week and the next one 3 days only.

We have a differential pay shift of $1.25 for the 3rd shift.

Position Summary

The position is responsible for mounting plates used in flexographic printing.

Essential Duties and Tasks

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function

satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made, upon request, to enable individuals with

Operate printing press.

Ensure print design conforms to job jacket information.

Responsible for print sample retention.

Notifies Supervisor/Lead Person or Quality Assurance Technician of non-conformities.

Responsible for proper packaging and labeling of work-in-process and/or finished products.

Ensure raw materials have been approved for use.

Ensure all benchtop tests and measuring equipment being used are properly calibrated.

Identification and control of non-conforming material.

Set up and clean up the machine.

Follow all applicable instructions relative to food safety and the SQF Food Safety Management

System, including Employee GMPs.

Report food safety problems to personnel with the authority to initiate actions.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

High school degree, GED, or equivalent.

Color matching accuracy.

Numerical accuracy.

Organizational skills are a must.

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Mathematical skills are a must, able to equate decimals and percentages.

Analytical and problem-solving.

An understanding of various industry color measurement instruments.

Ability to analyze and interpret technical information and procedures.

Work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, have good math and mechanical skills, get

along with others, positive attitude, and be well organized.

Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects

simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and needs and

develop solutions and/or options.

Climbing Stairs, Bending, Twisting, Reaching, Pushing, Pulling, and Squatting.

Walking or standing on concrete floors.

Lifting is minimal, occasionally up to 75 lbs.

Shift formats vary (8 hours, 12 hours, nights, days)
