Job Title: Road Striper

*** MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN STRIPING, PAVING OR CONSTRUCTION AND A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD***

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a road stripper. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint and thermoplastic materials to roads, highways, and parking lots according to established guidelines and safety standards. Your precision and attention to detail will contribute to the safety and functionality of roadways for motorists and pedestrians alike.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate road striping equipment, including paint trucks, striping machines, and related tools, safely and efficiently.

2. Prepare work sites by cleaning and prepping surfaces for striping, ensuring proper adhesion of materials.

3. Apply paint and thermoplastic materials to designated areas, following specified patterns and measurements to create clear and accurate markings.

4. Ensure that striping work complies with all relevant regulations, including local, state, and federal guidelines for road markings and signage.

5. Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency throughout the striping process.

6. Collaborate with team members to coordinate striping activities and prioritize work assignments to meet project deadlines.

7. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of striping equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.

8. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and implementing traffic control measures as necessary.

9. Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to striping activities, including work orders, material usage logs, and equipment maintenance records.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in road striping or pavement marking is preferred, but not required.

2. Familiarity with striping equipment and techniques, including paint application and thermoplastic materials.

3. Ability to interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, and specifications for road markings and signage.

4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to produce clear and consistent markings in various weather conditions.

5. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and work outdoors in potentially challenging environments.

6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

7. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

8. Commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols for working in roadway environments.

9. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by project schedules.
